Hello dear reader!
“Impatience with action, patience with results” - Naval Ravikant
On taking the leap
As you start to build your business, there will be an initial phase when there will be no results. We are so used to instant gratification that going on without seeing any results becomes difficult.
But, it’s important to keep working, keep showing up and keep overcoming one challenge after another because one day tiny results will start to show.
Like when you sow a seed, it takes its sweet time to sprout. But that does not mean you won’t water it. You’ll keep watering it even though you can’t see the magic happening under the soil!
So when you are finding it difficult to go on - just take the next step and keep moving forward. There will be light at the end of the tunnel.
On mindfulness
I am reading ‘The Almanack of Naval Ravikant’ by Eric Jorgenson. In that, it’s mentioned that the form of meditation that works best for Mr. Naval Ravikant is called ‘Nonjudgmental Awareness’.
For 10-15 minutes in your day, you don’t judge anything and accept everything happening in that moment.
If you are walking and come across someone who is having a bad hair day, your first instinct will be to judge them and feel good about yourself. But hold your thoughts right there, do not judge, just accept and keep moving. It will make you feel peaceful.
I admit that this seems easier said than done, but definitely worth a shot!
P.S. You can download ‘The Almanack of Naval Ravikant’ by Eric Jorgenson for free from its official site https://www.navalmanack.com/.
See you next week,
Love,
